Description:
Presenting a magnificent and highly detailed vintage Chinese porcelain vase, crafted in the highly auspicious "Double Gourd" (Hulu) shape, which symbolizes good fortune and prosperity.
The vase is painted in the vibrant Famille Rose palette with an intricate "Five Blessings" (五福捧寿) motif. The lower bulb is centered with a large, stylized yellow "Shou" (Longevity) character, surrounded by five flying red bats (symbols of blessing), scrolling lotus flowers, and green vines. The upper bulb features further bats, ribbons, and auspicious clouds. The vibrant colors (pinks, yellows, greens, and blues) stand out beautifully against the bright white porcelain ground.
Provenance: This piece is accompanied by a museum exhibition label on the base, reading "Ming & Ching Exhibition 1977, Art Gallery of NSW, Cat. No.", indicating a long and respectable exhibition history. The base bears a red seal mark reading "大清乾隆年制" (Made in the Great Qing Qianlong Period).
Condition: Excellent condition. The enamel is vibrant and glossy with no visible chips, cracks, or repairs. The painted details are crisp and beautifully preserved. Please refer to all photos for exact condition.
This elegant piece makes a stunning focal point for a console table, bookshelf, or as a refined accent in any Asian-inspired or traditional interior.
