Originally found in a flea market in Burgundy, this large vintage pharmacy scale was once used in a French pharmacy. Housed in its original wood-and-glass case, the piece has an extraordinary presence—the warmth and patina of the oiled wood, the aged brass mechanism, delicate suspended weighing pans and original drawers make it as much a piece of sculptural furniture as a working scale.

The beautifully constructed glass case allows the brass mechanism to be seen from every angle, while the two drawers in the base add both function and visual weight. The scale has the kind of authenticity, age and character that is increasingly difficult to find.
