Stylized deer, birds, foliage, and geometric motifs encircle the vessel in earthy brown, pale green, yellow and cream, with carved relief adding depth to the surface. The irregular foot and hand-worked decoration emphasize the object's one-of-a-kind character. An incised maker's mark is present on the underside, though the potter remains unidentified.
