The original finish on the wood top was removed and the surface was carefully sanded to bare wood, revealing the natural grain and color variation. The wood was left unstained to preserve its natural appearance and then protected with three coats of clear topcoat.

The wood displays attractive natural variation with warm golden and brown tones along with areas of gray and darker figuring. The slender metal frame gives the piece a clean, understated profile.

This versatile bench is well suited for an entryway, hallway, bedroom, beneath a window, or as occasional seating.

The bench is in very good condition. The refinished wood top is well protected, and the metal frame shows minor signs of previous use consistent with age. Natural grain, knots, and color variations are characteristics of the wood.
