An exquisite and highly detailed vintage Chinese four-panel miniature folding screen, masterfully carved from solid boxwood (Huangyangmu). Each panel features deep relief carving depicting seated deities or immortals in meditation, surrounded by intricate swirling clouds and traditional motifs.
The top of each panel is decorated with a Chinese character (Dao, De, Xin, Gui), conveying philosophical and auspicious meanings. The panels are connected by aged metal hinges, allowing them to stand freely or fold flat. The wood has developed a rich, warm amber-brown patina over time.
