The piece features six undulating French Louis XIII style "Os de Mouton" (sheep bone") carved beechwood legs in a rich darkly stained finish. The legs are joined centrally by a dramatic pair of wave-scalloped stretchers and smaller connecting side stretchers. The large rectangular seat is upholstered in a stunning hair-on cowhide in natural grey, black, and white salt-and-pepper tones. The upholstery is lined with a continuous border of polished nickel tack nailheads. The bench is crafted in an elegant Country style with French Provincial influences, well-suited for a variety of interiors as a window bench, ottoman, coffee table, or accent piece. The natural hide upholstery has a variegated finish with organic shades and spots throughout the top as seen in photos. The bench is sturdy and solid having excellent joinery and craftsmanship in exceptional condition as seen in photos.
