An exceptional French Maison Baguès chandelier, dating to circa 1940s, richly embellished with rock crystal, rose quartz, and crystal beading over an elaborate wrought-iron frame with an antique silvered finish.
The chandelier is designed as a highly sculptural multi-arm composition, with gracefully scrolling wrought-iron branches supporting candle-form lights beneath shaped metal bobeches. The frame is densely decorated with strands of faceted crystal beads, carved and polished rock crystal drops, rose quartz pendants, floral crystal rosettes, and larger naturalistic mineral elements suspended throughout the structure.
