We are selling this interesting small oil on canvas Hudson River School painting. This painting features a simple forest landscape with a Birch tree along a stream. The bark on the birch and the crack in it’s base is the focus for this painting. The painting appears to be mid 19th century and very similar to the work of Julie Hart Beers, it may be by her or in the circle of her followers.
Condition: Small tear to the canvas in the birch. Some surface wear. Frame has been painted silver.
