Recently, Marina told me the back story on this lovely painting. "Floral still life is a favorite subject of mine. The fragile, luminous nature of flowers is fascinating. The painting includes a tiny glass vase i found years ago at the University of Chicago, when my sister attended. I felt the fan added another feminine touch and reminds me of my old Chicago roommate, who spent years in Paris." You can see why the artist kept this painting in her studio. The painting is created on a 12x9 birch panel and framed in a gold gilt French style frame. Overall, the framed art measurers 13 and 5/8ths inches by 10 and 5/8ths inches.
