The left-hand section features a raised cabinet with two drawers, both finished with beautifully figured fronts and small brass handles. To the right sits the lower bench section, creating the classic telephone-table layout that made these pieces so distinctive in the 1950s and 1960s. The tapered legs are finished with brass-capped feet, adding a refined period detail, while the long, low proportions give the piece a light and architectural feel. Today it works just as well as a hallway bench, bedroom bench, low console or occasional table as it does as a traditional telephone seat.
