although they are two distinct documented models, the vases share the same unusual textured white and brown glaze, closely related proportions and complementary spherical silhouettes. Displayed together, they create the visual coherence of an intentionally conceived decorative pair while retaining the individual character of two different odyv designs.
the first vase, model 9p, features a pure globular silhouette articulated by concentric horizontal bands. Its richly textured pale surface is interrupted by smooth, glossy bands ranging in tone from warm brown to almost black. The underside bears the impressed odyv manufactory mark and model designation.
the second vase, model 4928, has a similarly rounded body but is distinguished by four stepped geometric handles positioned around the shoulder. These architectural projections give the piece a more pronounced art deco character and create a striking sculptural profile. The underside bears the model number 4928 together with additional manufacturer’s marks.
