The chandelier presents a sophisticated combination of chrome-plated metal, richly toned wood and veneer, and six decorative glass shades. Its strong geometric construction, contrasting materials and streamlined proportions are characteristic of central european art deco design of the period. A substantial faceted wooden central body forms the architectural core of the fixture. Six elegantly curved chrome-plated arms extend outward, incorporating rectangular wooden sections before supporting the individual bowl-shaped glass shades. The six original-style shades are particularly striking, combining a softly textured cream surface with a warm peach-colored decorative band featuring a repeating geometric motif. When illuminated, the shades create a warm atmospheric glow and emphasize the chandelier’s dramatic horizontal proportions. With a diameter of 86 cm / 33.9 in, this is a substantial statement fixture suitable for a dining room, large living area, entrance hall or sophisticated hospitality interior. The chandelier has been carefully refurbished and professionally rewired. The wooden and veneered surfaces have been restored with respect for the original material, while the chrome-plated components have been carefully cleaned and polished. The original chrome plating displays localized wear and light oxidation in several areas consistent with the age of the fixture. These areas have been professionally treated and stabilized. Minor signs of use and age remain and contribute to the authentic character of this original 1930s piece. Equipped with 6 × e26/e27 bulb sockets and compatible with us electrical systems.
