A mid-century Austrian Weinheber, dating to the 1950s–1960s. This vintage piece features an etched, hand-blown crystal decanter on a hand-forged iron stand, serving as a functional tabletop wine aerator and an excellent conversation starter.
The decanter features hand-blown crystal detailed with a traditional etched grape and vine motif. It includes a central hand-blown ice chamber tube designed to chill wine, brandy, or cordials without diluting the beverage. A natural cork provides an insulation seal at the top of the ice tube.
The stand is hand-forged wrought iron finished in matte black. It is detailed with metal grapevine leaves, tendrils, and a built-in drip tray at the base.
Dual-Aeration Function & Presentation: This piece offers a multi-stage aeration process. The liquid aerates initially when poured into the main wide-body chamber. It then undergoes a second, active aeration cycle upon dispensing. When a guest presses the rim of their glass upward against the spring-loaded, gravity-fed bottom push-valve, the mechanical restriction forces the wine or brandy into a targeted stream, drawing oxygen directly into the liquid as it fills the glass. Releasing pressure instantly seals the flow.
This elegant tabletop design is like the French Aérateur de Vin: (Wine Aerator), or Italian Aeratore del Vino: (Wine Aerator).
Condition:
Excellent vintage condition with signs of quality craftsmanship from days gone by.
The hand-blown crystal reservoir is clear with no chips, cracks, or clouding.
The wrought iron stand is heavy and structurally sound.
Stamped "Made in Austria" on the bottom.
