An impressive vintage console table by Mastercraft Furniture Co. of Grand Rapids, Michigan, combining richly figured burl wood with an exceptionally dramatic black marble top veined in warm gold and cream.
At 80 inches wide, the console has substantial presence while its slender cabriole legs and serpentine apron keep the silhouette elegant. The case features three drawers, decorative bronze-tone hardware and elaborate applied mounts along the legs. The smaller center drawer is fitted with a distinctive ring pull, while the two larger drawers retain coordinating traditional pulls.
The standout feature is the shaped marble top. Its deep black ground is animated by bold natural veining in gold, caramel, cream and white, creating a striking contrast against the warm burl wood cabinetry.
