Description:
Presenting an absolutely stunning and incredibly heavy vintage Chinese carved brush pot (Bitong). Crafted from a solid, high-quality Faux Ivory (resin) material with a bright yellow color and an incredibly realistic, natural-looking "ice crackle" texture (imitating aged ivory).

The exterior is masterfully carved in deep, extremely detailed high relief with a magnificent narrative landscape scene. One side depicts the classic legend of "Bo Le Appraises a Horse" (伯乐相马), showing a wise, bearded scholar, an attendant, and a groom carefully examining a majestic horse beneath gnarled pine trees. The opposite side features a charming courtyard scene with elegant ladies and playful boys, surrounded by banana leaves, rocks, and a railing. The base bears a carved seal mark.

Condition: Excellent condition. The faux ivory material is solid and heavy. The dense carving is crisp, detailed, and fully intact, showing a beautiful natural patina consistent with age and gentle use. No major cracks or missing pieces. Please refer to all photos for exact condition.
