Description:
Presenting an absolutely stunning and incredibly heavy vintage Chinese carved brush pot (Bitong). Crafted from a solid, high-quality Faux Ivory (resin) material with a bright yellow color and an incredibly realistic, natural-looking "ice crackle" texture (imitating aged ivory).

The exterior is masterfully carved in deep, extremely detailed high relief with a magnificent "Scholars Gathering" (文人雅集) landscape scene. The composition features a dense and complex setting of gnarled pine trees, banana leaves, and jagged rocks. Several elegant scholars in flowing robes are depicted engaging in refined activities: playing Go (Weiqi) on a stone table, reading, and playing the lute. Attendant boys are also visible. The base bears a carved seal mark.

Condition: Excellent condition. The faux ivory material is solid and heavy. The dense carving is crisp, detailed, and fully intact, showing a beautiful natural patina consistent with age and gentle use. No major cracks or missing pieces. Please refer to all photos for exact condition.
