Masterfully handcrafted from a dense, heavy solid hardwood, this box showcases a gorgeous rustic grain and centuries of natural patina. The box is distinguished by its vibrant, hand-painted red and yellow polychrome structural frame enclosing a facade densely decorated with hand-stamped round brass studs. Functionally, the piece utilizes a clever sliding panel lid that glides back to expose a fixed 4-compartment interior, historically used for storing whole spices. A highly textural artifact with an incredibly compact footprint, it is perfectly suited for use as a sophisticated table-top conversation piece, vanity organizer, desk accessory, or a rustic global-chic accent in eclectic modern interiors.
