Presenting a magnificent and richly patinated vintage Chinese carved bamboo brush pot (Bitong). This is a quintessential scholar's object, crafted from a thick section of aged bamboo with a deep, glossy amber-reddish color.

The exterior is masterfully carved in deep, dynamic high relief with a classic "Scholars Gathering" landscape scene. The composition features several elegant figures dressed in flowing robes, gathered under a gnarled pine tree, surrounded by rocky outcrops and swirling clouds. In the background, distant mountains and pavilions add incredible depth. The figures' faces and hands are intricately detailed, showcasing remarkable craftsmanship.
