A stunning and substantial Chinese porcelain jar, sure to be a focal point in any room. This large lidded jar features a heavily crazed (crackle) glaze in a warm cream tone, resembling fine antique porcelain. The body is beautifully decorated with hand-painted polychrome motifs in yellow, rust red, blue, and green, depicting auspicious animals (including mythical beasts/foo dogs) and stylized floral patterns.
The piece is capped with a stunning, undulating "Lotus Leaf" shaped lid, topped with a small foo dog (guardian lion) finial. The base features a traditional petal-lappet border. This jar is extremely versatile—perfect for use as a centerpiece, a large canister, or simply as a magnificent decorative object on a console or floor.
