Description:
Presenting a magnificent and highly collectible vintage Chinese presentation set, comprising a finely painted enameled vase and its original carved Zitan rosewood box.

The Vase: This exquisite vase features a flared yellow-ground neck and a brilliantly colored body. It is heavily enameled in shades of red, blue, yellow, and green. The main body features large, shaped white cartouches enclosing exquisitely detailed "Bird and Flower" (Huaniao) scenes, depicting a colorful pheasant perched on a rock with blooming peonies, a red-crowned crane, and butterflies. The bases bear a blue square seal reading "乾隆年制" (Made in the Qianlong Period).

The Box: The vase is beautifully housed in a spectacular, antique-style Zitan rosewood box. The exterior of the box is deeply carved in high relief with majestic imperial dragons chasing a flaming pearl amidst dense clouds, a testament to traditional Chinese woodcarving. The interior is fitted with soft brown fabric, shaped perfectly to hold the vase securely. It features an aged bronze lock plate.

Condition: Excellent condition. The enamel on the vase is vibrant and intact. The Zitan box is structurally sound, and the deep dragon carvings are completely intact. Both show natural, age-appropriate patina. Please refer to all photos for exact condition. See less
