The piece appears to be … Read more Sculptural rooster figurine featuring a dimensional body with an exaggerated, fan-shaped tail and outstretched wings. The piece appears to be constructed from metal, possibly brass, with cast detailing throughout the head, body, wings, legs, and feet. The large tail is formed from individually shaped feather elements with incised line detailing.
The surface has a warm gold-toned finish with areas of darker oxidation, discoloration, and verdigris consistent with age and use. Visible seams and attachment points can be seen where the tail and other components join the body. Material has not been independently tested and is possibly brass.A highly dimensional decorative object suitable for display on a console, credenza, tabletop, or shelf. Condition shows visible age-related surface wear and patina.
