A striking five-piece games table ensemble by Hooker Furniture, comprising a substantial square games table and four coordinating armchairs in an unusually dramatic combination of black leather, black-and-white cowhide, carved wood and antiqued brass nailhead trim.
The table is beautifully constructed with an inset black playing surface bordered by decorative nailhead detailing. Four stylized longhorn motifs decorate the center—a playful Western reference that ties beautifully to the genuine hide upholstery of the chairs.
The architectural base features deeply carved floral corner blocks, bulbous foliate-carved elements and long fluted legs, finished primarily in black with warm rubbed wood highlights that emphasize the carving. The contrast gives the table an appropriately aged, almost club-like character rather than the appearance of conventional contemporary furniture.
The four generously scaled armchairs are the stars of the ensemble. Each features smooth black leather upholstery to the seat and arms, complemented by dramatic black-and-white natural hide across the upholstered back.
