Teak bookcase with pull-out shelf, storage compartment, and integrated drawers. Scandinavian production, 1960s.
Designed to combine storage, display, and a work surface in a single piece, this teak bookcase reflects the functional approach of 1960s Scandinavian design. The upper section, at least 20 cm deep, is organized with two open shelves and three small drawers, while the lower section includes a large compartment with two hinged doors, four side drawers, and a unique pull-out shelf. The clean lines, recessed handles, and slender legs lend lightness to the composition, expressing the quest for balance between functionality and formal purity that characterized Scandinavian production in the second half of the 20th century.
