The shaped frame is crowned by a large radiating scallop-shell crest above a gracefully arched mirror plate, with carved acanthus and foliate details flowing along the shoulders and sides. A floral rocaille cartouche anchors the shaped lower edge. The reverse retains its original wood backing and metal manufacturer's plaque stamped MADE BY john widdicomb. See less
