In aged condition, except for some repaired cut and folding line at the middle. The artwork represents a landscape with a camp through deft stokes in a poetical well-balanced composition. Jan Peeter Verdussen (1700 - 1763) was a Flemish painter, draftsman and printmaker. He is known mainly for his battle scenes, incidents of camp life and equestrian paintings. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
