The warm, aged brass finish has developed a beautiful natural patina, emphasizing the lamp’s rich surface texture and handcrafted character. The lamp is equipped with a woven rattan/cane shade, constructed from slender natural reeds arranged in a graceful tapered form. The open weave allows light to filter through softly, creating a warm and atmospheric glow while adding an organic, textural contrast to the substantial brass base. The combination of sculptural brass, natural rattan, and bamboo-form detailing gives this lamp a distinctive vintage character that works beautifully in eclectic, traditional, Hollywood Regency, coastal, or contemporary interiors. We don´t know the maker of the lamp, but it was bought in Denmark in the 1960s alongside furniture from Danish cabinetmakers.
