It is constructed using the complex sommerso method, layering dense glass with an inner casing of elegant white lattimo glass and sparkling gold aventurine flecks (gold dust/polveri). The spectacular field of bullicante represents a matrix of precisely controlled, evenly distributed air bubbles suspended intentionally between the thick clear and colored glass layers. Shaped into an organic, freeform asymmetrical design, these pieces often pulled to a distinct single pointer tip or curved fold to serve as either a centerpiece console bowl, a small catchment tray, or a decorative vide-poche.
