Constructed entirely of steel and finished in a classic industrial gray, the bookcase consists of five generously sized glass-front compartments stacked on a matching raised base. Each section features a large glass door with a small centered metal pull. The doors lift upward and retract into the cabinet, providing unobstructed access to the interior.

The unusually tall five-stack configuration gives the piece a strong architectural presence while maintaining a relatively narrow footprint. Originally designed for institutional or office storage, it translates beautifully into a contemporary interior as a bookcase, display cabinet, collection cabinet, or gallery storage piece. Its utilitarian steel construction and expansive glass fronts pair particularly well with Mid-Century Modern, Machine Age, Bauhaus, and industrial furnishings.

The cabinet retains an appealing vintage appearance with considerable evidence of its working life.
