An impressive china cabinet and breakfront from Broyhill Furniture Industries’ 100th Anniversary Collection, created to commemorate the company’s centennial.
This substantial statement piece showcases richly figured wood veneers in deep warm mahogany tones, accented by decorative burl panels and finely executed contrasting wood inlay. The architectural upper cabinet features an elaborate broken-arch pediment with carved detailing and a central urn-form finial.
Three glazed display sections provide generous space for china, crystal and collectibles. Decorative curved mullions, beveled glass, mirrored interior panels and adjustable glass shelving give the cabinet an especially elegant presentation. Interior illumination features a convenient three-way touch-hinge light switch.
The lower case offers considerable concealed storage behind the two side cabinet doors along with a handsome bowed central bank of drawers. Traditional brass-tone ring pulls, key escutcheons, fluted architectural details and delicate floral-style inlay complete the design.
The interior retains both the Broyhill Furniture Industries fabric protective liner and original metal plaque identifying the piece as part of “The Broyhill 100th Anniversary Collection.”
