A substantial vintage Arts & Crafts style hand-carved wood picture frame, featuring a rich dark brown finish and contrasting natural linen liner.
The wide real wood frame is beautifully decorated with deeply carved repeating geometric and stylized foliate motifs, giving it the handcrafted character associated with Arts & Crafts design. The dark stained wood, visible grain, bold carving and warm natural linen liner create a handsome, architectural look with plenty of texture and depth.
Measuring approximately 28" W x 33" H overall, this generously sized frame would be especially striking surrounding an oil painting, portrait, landscape or print. Its warm, earthy palette and handcrafted appearance make it particularly well suited to Arts & Crafts, Craftsman, traditional, rustic and collected interiors.
Sold as an empty frame; artwork and glazing are not included.
Condition: Good vintage condition with expected age-related wear, including scattered scratches, nicks, finish wear and minor imperfections to the carved decoration. Linen liner shows some age-related wear and discoloration. Please see photos for condition details.
