This is a beautiful and tall vintage Chinese Famille Rose porcelain Brush Pot (Bitong), decorated with the famous legend of the "Eight Immortals Crossing the Sea".
The pot features a slender, cylindrical shape standing 7.9 inches tall. The exterior is painted with a lively scene of the Eight Taoist Immortals, each carrying their iconic attributes, riding atop turbulent, crashing waves. The background features distant mountains, auspicious clouds, and flying cranes.
The vivid colors of the immortals' robes (greens, reds, yellows, and blues) contrast beautifully against the white porcelain background.
