We are selling this interesting 18th C. American Limner portrait or English folk painting. This oil painting is done on a wood panel that appears to be oak with nice age and slight warp. The painting is of a lady in Fancy dress, both well done in the face and arms and naive in other parts. Frame is 19th century addition.
Condition: Some surface wear to the painting with flaking. Gesso and gilt loss to the frame with a large missing chunk.
