The gilt is in excellent shape, with a rich shine and fewer chips than a normal for a vintage Florentine item. Item is sturdy and stable for hanging and display. There are a few cracks, several of which I believe are from the underlying manufacturing process (seams along the length of the shelves). The top point is most likely a repair.
