Mould-blown in a clear grass green that lightens toward the foot, the four square faces are worked with vertical rifts and a frost-bitten surface that rises like flame from the base. Liekki was produced in several colourways; what is uncommon is finding one complete. This example keeps both the original Heimo-Koru "Kultaus 24 Karaattia" gilding label and the signature on the base, with the 24-carat plating unworn. lit from behind, the whole block turns to chartreuse and throws green across the surface it stands on.

The foot sits in a collar gilded in 24-carat gold by Heimo-Koru Oy of Turku, worked in a dense pattern drawn from Finnish textile weaves. The original "Kultaus 24 Karaattia" gilding label is still in place, and the vase is signed on the base.

Kumela was founded in Riihimäki in 1933 and was absorbed by Humppila in 1979 - Liekki belongs to the last independent decade of one of Finland's great glass houses.

No chips or cracks; the mould texture and polished rim are crisp throughout. The 24-carat gilded collar retains full plating with faint handling marks. Original Heimo-Koru gilding label present, signed on the base. This piece has an attribution mark,
