The piece is built as three distinct events in one casting. At one end, a squared bowl in near-clear glass finished in a raw, frost-bitten texture. At the other, a heavy amber block seated in a gilded collar. Between them, a smooth waisted column where the colour runs from honey to almost black. Turn it over and it becomes a different object: what was a footed chalice reads as a pedestal bowl, and the amber that pooled at the bottom now floods the top.

The collar is gilded in 24-carat gold by Heimo-Koru Oy of Turku, worked in a dense woven pattern drawn from Finnish textile weaves, and the original "Kultaus 24 Karaattia" gilding label is still in place. Unusually for this group, the collar carries the full pattern with no engraving plate - the piece was made as a decorative object, not as a presentation trophy.
