Measuring an exceptional length of 2.45 meters, this solid oak bench comes from a private chapel, giving it particular historical significance. Its openwork decoration features beautiful fleur-de-lis carved on the side panels, an emblem traditionally associated with the French monarchy. This provenance and ornamentation enhance the prestigious and unique character of this antique piece.

The structure, entirely made of solid oak, displays a beautiful, warm, aged patina. The simple yet elegant backrest is punctuated by long horizontal rails and terminates on each side in superb, rounded, and scrolled armrests, lending considerable character to the whole.
Beneath the long seat runs a very attractive carved and openwork frieze, composed of a regular succession of quatrefoil motifs.

A spectacular and unusual piece, measuring 2.45 meters, steeped in history, that would be perfectly at home in a grand entrance hall, chapel, castle, period residence, country house, or prestigious establishment.

Good overall condition for its age, with normal signs of wear that contribute to its authenticity and beautiful antique patina.
