This distinctive floor lamp is an excellent example of czechoslovak mid-century modern lighting design. Its remarkably slender brass-plated metal structure is supported by an elegant tripod base, creating a lightweight architectural silhouette that inspired its characteristic “giraffe” name. The elongated vertical stem leads to a sculptural lamp head with a newly handmade paper shade. The warm texture of the shade beautifully complements the polished brass finish and creates a soft, atmospheric light when illuminated. The brass-plated metal construction has been carefully repolished while preserving appropriate traces of age and the authentic character of the original piece. The electrical system has been professionally renewed. The lamp uses one e27/e26 bulb and is compatible with us bulbs.
