Antique solid oak banker's or library chair, often referred to as a "Bank of England" style chair. This design—featuring a steam-bent continuous outer back hoop, vertical slats, a contoured saddle seat, and heavy-duty leg reinforcement braces—was a staple layout used in courtrooms, institutional libraries, and government offices across the United States. Original maker's medallion and label.
