Here is a wonderful Mid-Century Modern oval coffee table, dating to the 1960s. The elongated oval top features warm wood veneer across the surface and edges, accented by a central inset of three colorful ceramic tiles depicting what appears to be a stylized musical instrument, possibly a trombone, in vibrant shades of yellow, orange, red, and black.
The table rests on a distinctive architectural base combining chrome and wood detailing with two cylindrical silver-painted metal supports. Four-pronged feet with wood inlays and chrome trim are connected by a coordinating stretcher, creating an open, sculptural silhouette that beautifully complements the streamlined tabletop.
The combination of warm wood tones, colorful ceramic artwork, and contrasting metal finishes gives this table a distinctly European modernist character. Its long, low proportions make it an appealing centerpiece for a living room or seating area.

The wood veneer top shows areas of uneven coloration and finish discoloration toward both rounded ends - see photos. The cylindrical metal support legs appear to have been repainted silver, with slight variations in the finish. The ceramic tile inset remains colorful and attractive. Chrome base looks excellent.
