Estimated to date to approximately the 1950s–1960s.

The set includes six removable fan-shaped outer serving dishes and one scalloped round center bowl. Each piece is individually decorated with elaborate Japanese nature scenes featuring colorful birds, ducks, flowers, chrysanthemums, wisteria, bamboo, flowering trees and waterside landscapes.

The porcelain is further embellished with extensive gold detailing, including gilt-outlined birds and foliage, scalloped gold rims, and distinctive red-and-gold geometric borders. The varied scenes create an especially striking presentation when all seven pieces are arranged together.

The removable porcelain dishes nest within the round black pedestal base, which revolves Lazy Susan-style for convenient table service. Traditionally referred to as a Japanese sweet meat set, it can also be used for appetizers, hors d'oeuvres, relishes, nuts, candies, condiments or desserts.

The porcelain pieces are unmarked, and the specific maker is unknown. The form and elaborate decoration are consistent with vintage Japanese export porcelain with Kutani-style influence. No maker attribution is being made.
