Unearthed in Jiangsu province, this beautiful stone boulder has been polished smooth to reveal the full array of its soft colors and intriguing patterns. Prized by collectors for centuries, such stones were especially sought after by Chinese scholars who plumbed their mysteries in search of universal truths and poetic inspiration. The stone is sculptural and organic, awash with colorful mineral inclusions against a white marble field.
