This is a charming vintage Portuguese ceramic swan cachepot dating to approximately the 1970s. The whimsical sculptural form is finished in a soft blush-pink glaze and decorated by hand with colorful floral bouquets in shades of pink, lavender, yellow and green. Painted green feather detailing accents the wings and head, while the expressive curved neck and painted face give the piece wonderful personality.
Both decorative and functional, it would be lovely used as a petite planter or flower container, or simply displayed as a whimsical piece of vintage Portuguese pottery. The combination of its soft pink ground, hand-painted flowers and sculptural swan form makes this an especially charming example. This is 6 inches high, 7 inches long and 5 inches wide.
