Each back is built around a carved … Read more A set of three Neoclassical Revival dining chairs, Continental European, early twentieth century. Each back is built around a carved urn splat, the motif that gives the Neoclassical Revival its name, framed by shaped uprights and a curved crest rail. The chairs are oak with a distressed finish left as found, so the grain and the softened edges of the carving both read clearly.

All three have been reupholstered in our own Houston workshop in new fabric.

Each chair measures 20 inches wide by 14.5 inches deep by 36 inches high. The set weighs approximately 36 pounds. Sold only as a set of three, not individually.

The frames are original with age appropriate wear to the finish. The upholstery is new and without flaws.
