Each dish features six raised rounded wells designed for serving escargot/snails, with a wonderfully rich, glossy amber-brown glaze. The sculptural shape and warm majolica-style finish give these a fantastic mid-century French bistro / European kitchen look. These are wonderful for serving escargot, stuffed mushrooms, appetizers, tapas, nuts, or simply displaying as collectible vintage pottery.

These have the look of vintage French majolica and are very similar to examples attributed to St. Clément, France, but there is no visible maker's mark/stamp that we could identify. Seven inches in diameter and good vintage condition. See less
