In gilt painted wood frame. Frederic Van Vliet Baker studied at the Pratt Institute
in 1895 and studied art at the Ecole des beaux Arts and the Colarossi Academy in Paris.
He was also a teacher at the Pratt Institute and the Art Center School in New York.
He lived in Paris as well as New York City, exhibiting at the Art Institute of Chicago
in 1903 to 1904, also in Ghent, Vienna, and New York, where he had a solo show in
1944 at the Sperling Gallery. See less
