Vintage 1940s-1950s-era Gaylord Brothers Inc. solid wood rolling library book cart. It is in its original condition, but has been thoroughly cleaned up. It is maple but has a darker, somewhat reddish-brown tinted finish that gives it a mahogany or rosewoood look. All four casters swivel independently, and all have been cleaned and relubrocated, so the book cart rolls quietly and smoothly. There is some minor edge wear where the finish is worn down to the lighter wood, and there are small imperfections and wear common to age and use, particularly fine scratches on the top surfaces of the shelves.
Dimensions: 32” wide, 14” deep, 37” tall.
Shelves are 30.5” wide, with 11 5/8” between shelves.
