The Kindel Masterworks Winterthur Collection Mahogany & Leather "Legacy" Game Table (Model 88-708-29) is a bench-made replica of a Regency/Louis … Read more The Kindel Masterworks Winterthur Collection Mahogany & Leather "Legacy" Game Table (Model 88-708-29) is a bench-made replica of a Regency/Louis XVI style original housed in Delaware's Winterthur Museum. The console table is made from mahogany solids and veneers with brass edges/seams. The top folds open to reveal a gold-tooled green leather-covered game table with four circular corner beverage/coaster trays. The wood finish and the leather playing surface are in excellent condition with minimal wear. Please see photos of small dot impressions on the leather and small marks on the wood border of the leather.

Stamping on the underside includes the burnished hallmark: "Kindel Masterworks - Winterthur Reproduction" alongside the production codes "88 708 29 LEGACY". See photos

My understanding is that Kindel partnered with the Winterthur Museum in 1980 to begin replicating the antiques housed in the museum. So I believe this game table was made during the 1980s or 1990s. See less
