Vintage handcrafted pine pendant light, made in Sweden by the Byalaget collective c. late 1960's or 70's. They were known for this type of wood-working and made many different styles and sizes. The frame is built from pine slats and accented with hand-applied rosettes made from wood shavings, a classic Scandinavian folk tradition. The wood has a traditional slightly charred finish that accentuates the natural grain of the wood.
It is in excellent, working condition and retains its original label and wiring, with an on and off switch on the cord. It is currently a plug-in style but could easily be rewired to be hardwired. It takes a regular bulb that I will include.
