They are produced … Read more Vintage Home is pleased to offer this rare set of 12 full color Game Fowl Dinner Plates. They are produced from color illustration by America artist Lynn Bogue Hunt (1878-1960). Hunt was born in New York and returned there as a young man to become renown as the greatest American Wildlife Artist. He did mostly game fowl and fish and extensive work for the magazine Field & Stream in its heyday. He also illustrated the 1939/40 Federal Duck Stamp. This set of porcelain dinner plates with a Platinum band feature 12 of his game fowl birds. Each plate has both the make and female of the species as noted on the plate with the artist’s full name. The bird depicted are: Woodcock, Canvasback, Redhead, Black Duck, Greenwing Teal, Widgeton, Pintail, Ruffed Grouse, Canada Goose, Pheasant, Mallard and Quail. These are rare and very hard to find in the complete set of 12
