The broad “Red Core” vase is formed from thick, folded layers of violet, pink, and petrol-blue glass surrounding a concentrated ruby centre. Its surface and colours shift with the viewing angle. The tall companion vase contrasts this irregular form with a controlled cylindrical profile, layered amber-orange and translucent green glass, and carefully placed air bubbles. It retains an original Škrdlovice paper label.

Together, the vases represent two complementary approaches to postwar Czech glass. They display particularly well on a sideboard or illuminated shelf where daylight can reveal their colour and internal depth.
